Token Utility

$U2DPN integrates multiple utility functions to support and grow the network:

  • Payments and Access – Consumers and enterprises purchase bandwidth services on the U2DPN marketplace using either a layer 1 token or $U2DPN. Direct token payments unlock discounted fees and priority routing tiers.

  • Staking for LightNode Participation Anyone can stake $U2DPN to operate a LightNode, which plays a critical role in verifying transactions and maintaining the security and integrity of data transmissions within the network. LightNodes contribute to network decentralization by validating data packets, ensuring the accuracy of transactions, and providing reliable routing. In return, LightNode operators earn rewards based on the bandwidth they contribute and the quality of service (QoS) they provide.

  • Staking for MasterNode and APR Rewards MasterNode operators stake $U2DPN to manage the routing, verification, and processing of data transmissions. As integral components of the network, MasterNodes ensure the secure and efficient execution of sessions. In exchange for their essential role, MasterNode operators receive annual percentage returns (APR) from the fees generated by consumers and other network participants. This staking mechanism incentivizes the reliability and scalability of the network, ensuring that MasterNodes remain committed to maintaining high standards of service.

  • Provider Rewards – Node providers earn $U2DPN proportionate to the bandwidth they deliver, with reward formulas incorporating latency, uptime, and packet integrity metrics to encourage superior service.

  • Fee Recycling and Burn – A portion of protocol fees is used to buy back and burn $U2DPN, reducing circulating supply and aligning token scarcity with network growth.

These utility hooks ensure that $U2DPN is not merely a speculative instrument but a necessary component of every session across the network.
